Happened upon a few months ago during some aimless websurfing, Glyphish is a nice find which allows anyone to design an app UI for Apple’s behemoth that is the iPhone as well as the currently low-key Macs. Hopefully the project will soon develop further after its’ successful fund-raising attempts.

A conceptual video, Synesthesia hails from Terri Timely’s studio which has produced videos for the likes of Joanna Newsom and The Little Ones. At first seeming like a music video, the little gem is slotted together perfectly to make it jaw-dropping from start to finish, leaving you wanting more of the semi-mute beauty.

Soft Clock is a nice concept for a futuristic timepiece by Myznik Egor. Contrary to the usual hastening induced by precise timekeeping, the soft clock allows us to “admire every minute”, which it certainly does in quite a fetching way summed up by a simple equation: Soft Clock = Aluminum framework + C-shape hour hand + Glossy flexible PVC film.

The profusion of illustration which fills Adrian Johnson’s website is some of the best and most “cheerful” illustration I have seen in a long time and is definitely worth a bookmark. While having a look around, have a peek at his selection of animations.

Transparency (pictured) is a nice set of promotional posters by Khristian Mendoza, aka Goodbye Galaxy, which emphasize the need for transparent design, its effectiveness and appeal in a very striking way.

Seiko Kato has unleashed her new website brimming with work which emphasizes the extreme and admirable patience which she dedicates to her work. Her uniquely styled 3D montages exude character, seeming illustruous and creepy at the same time, and her exuberant collages appear graceful while being astonishingly detailed. As an aside, she also maintains a collaborative blog with Joe Crocker if you want to see more of her meticulously detailed, playful work.

While I make a real effort to not deviate from the topics of art and music, I thought that Skimmer from the guys over at Fallon was too good to be overlooked.
Skimmer is a basic app which mashes up your social website feeds churning them out as nice succinct experpts in a nice slick, minimalistic interface where you have the choice to see more or less. Currently, it works with Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook and Blogspot, with the added bonus of allowing you to upload your work to YouTube and Flickr from within the app.
Worth at least a glance especially as it works on any computer
