Two typographers, Pierre & Damien, and a pro race pilot, Stef van Campenhoud, collaborated to design a font with a car. Incredible maneuvering and some coloured dot tracking lead to the final product which I have to admit is impressive and can be downloaded from the website. Incomparably in terms of originality for car advertising campaigns though this may be because it is the only font-based campaign for a car I have seen so far.
Though I’m not a real fan of the song, I thought that this video for the song Supernova was at least worth a post cause its been created by the ever talented Siggi Eggertson. Enjoy the colours.
Nice bit of animation from Makoto Yabuki especially with the perfectly chosen music, though I’m not sure whether it was composed by him specifically for the video or not. Simple yet sweet.
The response by graphic design graduates Matt Robinson and Tom Wrigglesworth to the D&AD Student Awards brief set by Hewlett Packard.
The brief was to “present an idea which promotes HP Workstations ability to bring to life anything the creative mind can conceive.” The results of 6 weeks work are 8 perfectly synchronized “dancing” printers in a video that embodies the creativity sought through the brief.
A conceptual video, Synesthesia hails from Terri Timely’s studio which has produced videos for the likes of Joanna Newsom and The Little Ones. At first seeming like a music video, the little gem is slotted together perfectly to make it jaw-dropping from start to finish, leaving you wanting more of the semi-mute beauty.
Wasn’t sure what to make of this video when I happened upon it on Vimeo but in the end it was quite a nice find, showing a prototype for a fluid sculpture to be exhibited at the Maker Faire in San Mateo at the end of May.
