Utagawa Kuniyoshi

Utagawa Kuniyoshi

One of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting, Utagawa Kuniyoshi’s art depicts classical Japanese lore in all its colourful detail. Only shame is the website, which is uninspiring unlike its content.

Kim Beck

Kim Beck - when laughter trips at the threshold of the divine

Kim Beck’s art “urges a reconsideration of the built environment – the peculiar street signs, gas station banners, overgrown weeded lots, and self-storage buildings — bringing the banal and everyday into focus.” Her work focuses on interaction between the viewer and the pieces, creating a connection and an understanding of the art and environment.

Shown is “when laughter trips at the threshold of the divine”.
