Muscart

It’s finally here.

Reachably’s successor, Muscart, with an all new layout (which hopefully poeple like) and aim, has finally been released after many weeks of design, coding and file uploading. While there will be a new website to replace reachably, reachably will still be reachable by going to www.reachably.com though only as an archive as no new content will be posted.

The web address for Muscart is www.muscart.com .

I hope everyone will visit and share Muscart, and I want to thank everyone for their continued support,

Jon

Saying goodbye to the old

As many people have noticed, reachably hasn’t had any proper updates in over 6 months and for this I am to blame entirely. Work caught up with me and I found it difficult to update the website. Furthermore, I found my interest in the website slip as I couldn’t relate to what I was doing with it. Due to these problems, I believe reachably needs a new start, with a new name and a complete redesign to better accommodate my ideas for the website.

I know many people will be sceptical as to a complete redesign as this seems like quite a big task which will take some time but the good news is the design is down and will be ready hopefully in the next 2 days. While the matter of the design is making good headway, the task of renaming the website is a more difficult task which I believe should not only be down to me so I have made a list of possible names for the website and I was hoping readers could vote on their favourite.

POLL NOW CLOSED!

Thank you for all your support so far,

Jon

Update – The new site theme coding has been finished though without any comments system for the moment though they mght be close behind the official reopening of the site.

Some may have guessed from just the title and, if not, the little image that reachably now has twitter.

“Why?” you ask. Well, it’s a simple and effective way for me to keep in touch with the readers of reachably and share stuff which might not be posted on the site, such as events or projects.

So, as of now, if you want to suggest some ways in which reachably should change, just want to say hello, submit something or ask anything, just tweet (or if you don’t want to email).

P.S. The links from reachably will be given in short form on twitter and don’t forget to follow us!

Rearranging, sharing and feedback

Sharing and feedback

As you can probably see, I have rearranged reachably today in an effort to make it more user-friendly and share-friendly. As there have been a few changes I thought people would like to know of the two main ones which are after the break (aka “More”).

Guest Posting Poll

A poll has recently been added to the sidebar and so it may have caught your attention, or just snuck into your blind spot to avoid drawing attention. Either way the poll is there and if you have not guessed yet, it is all about ‘guest posting’ and my interest in getting the people involved in reachably, allowing for a more community centric site. More after the break… and if you want to, please answer the poll.

Worth Visiting & Friends Update

The website has just had a minor update to the website.

I have created the “Worth Visiting’ section in the sidebar which will share 4 random websites which are worth visiting but are not the sort of thing which I would write a post about. Check back often to see if something new has been added to this section.

Also, I have created the ‘Friends’ sections in the sidebar which is links to friends websites or affiliated websites.

(Anyone interested in being a ‘friend’ site please email me using the email shown on the contact page)

Milestone

Today at reachably we commemorate reaching the 100 post milestone and so have decided to celebrate in the form of a big update to the layout. The new layout, which is slightly wider than the previous one, is based around a ‘two column’ design to make it easier to use. Furthermore there is a new and improved search bar at the top and  heart-shaped ‘share’ buttons by each post name so you can easily share your favourite posts over most bookmark-sharing communities.

As with all new things, there are bound to be some problems in the coding which need to be ironed out so if you have any problems or see any bugs in the layout you can contact me on woolycow (at) gmail.com (replace the ‘(at)’ with an @ sign).

Thank you for all the support you have given us so far through just visiting the site and we hope to be sharing creativity for many more years.
