The exljbris Font Foundry has churned out many different fonts with unique styles which make stand out in an instant compared to the default fonts which everyone use. Exljbris has a grand total of 9 different free fonts (not including separate font modifications) which have full kerning and language support.

Hybrid Works is a Tokyo-based design studio manned by Masaki Hoshino who creates a ‘weird and wonderful’ selection of desktops. Furthermore, the website’s design on its own as it is an intricate and lively set up.

Three legged Legs is a three man design and animation studio with a aim to fight for the “global betterment of writing, direction, animation, design, and any other interesting form of media”. Based in Santa Monica, the three man team creates imaginative animations for such clients as Zune and Sprint.

Blu’s latest animation “MUTO” is wall animation which goes along walls in Buenos Aires and Baden, creating a surreal animation. As well as animations he also does illustrations on walls.

Jonquil’s music is difficult to categorize as a certain type of music but it seems to be folk/experimental with clear, strong sounds. The band, from Oxford, has received much praise for its individuality and incredible gigs. A summary by Metro was: ”Beautiful weirdness”.

Leotine’s work conjures up images in my head of illustrations in childrens’ books, which to many may sound detrementive, but actually it is a compliment in my view as it shows how light and joyful her illustrations are. As I skimmed through her work I found that the art seemed to jump out at you as the art seems so lively and refreshing.

David O’Reilly uses film and animation as the medium for his art. His short films, though quite sad, are vivid and beautiful. Though you may not know him by name you may know him for the animation in ‘Son of Rambow’.

Kevin Andersson works with graphic illustration, which is evident by his large repetoire of different desktops and icons which can be downloaded from his website. His slick and ‘mac-like’ style, though overdone at the moment, is refreshing in his work.
